This is a quick video shot in 1080p at 20fps on the Canon Rebel T1i (EOS 500D). The lens used was just the kit 18-55mm. No color correction was done and no compression as well. Enjoy and tell me what you think.
Clayton Jacobson with a crew of 3 spent 2 days shooting THE TRAINER for the CANON EXPERIENCE launch in Melbourne Australia. Shot in and around his fathers Boxing Gym and local Boxing tournament it highlights Ron Jacobson’s views and feelings about the sport.
“I wanted to put the Canon 5D MII through the rigors of a low budget film shoot to see how it would perform and i was blown away by the results” – CLAYTON JACOBSON
The EOS 7D is Canon’s latest DSLR, built for those seeking the convenience and affordability of the EOS 50D, inspired by the image quality and HD video potential of the EOS 5D Mark II, and eager for the high performance and durability of the EOS-1D series.
This is a totally new class of camera built from the ground-up to capitalize on advances in Canon’s AF system, EOS HD Video functionality, exposure performance, and other core technologies. Combined with the best existing features of the current EOS line, the EOS 7D goes beyond capturing amazing still images — it’s a complete media creation tool.
The “making of” TV commercial for the Rebel XSi demonstrates the power of photography in a unique way – by actually showing real photographs taken by Canon digital SLR cameras. Virtually every frame was captured on EOS cameras and combined to show one of the many journeys that photography can take you on. Sit back, enjoy and get inspired!
STICK AROUND for the video! I know I talked for a little while before it shows, but stick around please!
I’m just explaining how the 50mm f/1.8 lens (nifty-fifty) works with the T1i in movie mode. It’s very good in movie mode (and awesome as a still camera) and I like it as a backup video camera for now, I also like it for still photography, which I am a complete noob at. Enjoy the video and thanks for watching! Check out my first video for more on the T1i aka 500D: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0ZlXdDC4es
Camera and accessories included in the full package kit of a recently purchased 15 megapixels Canon EOS 500D / Rebel T1i (USA) / Kiss X3 (Japan) Digital SLR camera.
One caveat to the kit is the lack of a complimentary memory card. My advice is to separately purchase an SD or SDHC memory card(s) as well as a spare battery to get you started. The battery is the same LP-E5 type used by the Canon EOS 450D / Rebel XSi (USA) / Kiss X2 (Japan). Optional accessories are: Battery grip (same used by the 450D / XSi / Kiss X2), Remote Shutter Trigger, UV lens filter, polarizer lens filter, and a decent cone, crown, or petal-shaped lens hood for the kit lens.
I rarely use the kit lens. (At the time of my purchase, the store only had the kit package and not the camera body by itself.) Instead, I switch between a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Mark II prime lens, or an older Canon EF 35-70mm lens but at a 1.6x crop factor due to the APS-C size CMOS sensor utilized by the 500D camera unit.
I hope all this information will be useful to consumers interested in purchasing the Canon EOS 500D / Rebel T1i (USA) / Kiss X3 (Japan) Digital SLR camera.
