As long as the lens is EF-mount, it will fit any EOS body digital or not.
This include all the after-market brands as well.
The only thing that you will need to watch out is whether the lens is EF or EF-S design. Which in your case, it really doesn’t matter.

Canon Rebel digital slr eos xsi 18-55?

It’s only been out of the box twice and is 1.5-2 years old, with all standard accessories. I don’t know much about the slr cameras so I don’t want to buy this for $500 if it’s not worth it. The seller tells me she thinks it’s a 8.1 megapixel, but I’ve done a little research and can’t find that this camera was ever made under 10 megapixels. Any advice is appreciated.
The XSi is 12 megapixels, the XTi and the XS are 10 and the XT is 8 (plus a couple of points or so on each!)
If it definitely is the XSi then $500 for a little used one is a reasonable price but not a great one. Just over a year ago I paid 480 pounds ($800) for a new one with the 18-55 Image Stabilised lens.
Be absolutely sure it is the XSi. I would suggest that if it is the XTi or XS then $400-450 would be reasonable; if it is the XT then no more than $350.
